BW Energy Ltd. has released its operational update for the second quarter of 2025, reporting a net production of 2.9 million barrels of oil (mmbbls), translating to 32.3 thousand barrels of oil per day (kbopd). This production comes from its operations in the Dussafu license in Gabon and the Golfinho field in Brazil, where BW Energy holds a 73.5% and 100% working interest respectively. The Dussafu field contributed 2.4 mmbbls, while Golfinho added 0.5 mmbbls to the total production. Compared to the first quarter of 2025, production saw a slight decline from 3.2 mmbbls, with the Golfinho field's production decreasing from 0.7 mmbbls to 0.5 mmbbls. The net volume sold in the second quarter was 2.8 mmbbls, down from 3.7 mmbbls in the first quarter. The average realized price per barrel also saw a decrease, with the latest figure at USD 66.7 compared to USD 74.8 in the previous quarter. Operational costs per barrel increased to USD 20.4 from USD 16.5 in the first quarter, with the Golfinho field experiencing a rise in costs from USD 42.2 to USD 49.0 per barrel. Quarter-end stock inventory stood at 0.5 mmbbls, with Golfinho contributing a stock of 0.7 mmbbls. BW Energy's financial results for the second quarter and the first half of 2025 are scheduled to be published on 1 August 2025, followed by a webcast presentation and a live Q&A session later that day.
