Capral (ASX:CAA) entered into a binding agreement to acquire the business of Comsupply, a privately held aluminum systems and hardware distributor based in Western Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
It did not disclose the consideration for the transaction.
Capral sees Comsupply's patented range of aluminum partition systems, known as QRK, as a strategic opportunity for expansion through its national specification capability.
The acquisition is expected to be completed following customary conditions, and integration planning is underway. Comsupply will continue to operate as a standalone business in the near term.
Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Thursday.
