July 14 - (The Insurer) - QBE Bermuda has hired Saadia Savory, former vice president, casualty manager at Aspen Bermuda, to build out its presence on the island.
“After receiving Class 4 licences last year, our Bermudian captive reinsurers QBE Capital Ltd and QBE Capital (Global) Ltd are now both authorised to underwrite third-party business," a QBE spokesperson told The Insurer.
"This evolved proposition improves our access to markets and supports our growth priorities and portfolio optimisation. It demonstrates our commitment to the Bermudian market, and it brings enhanced capabilities to our brokers and customers.”
Savory has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Before her six-year tenure at Aspen, she held roles at Argo Group and Chartis.
