BIT Mining Limited $(BTCM)$, a leading technology-driven cryptocurrency asset company, has announced the completion of the second phase of its acquisition of cryptomining data centers and Bitcoin mining machines in Ethiopia. Initially agreed upon on December 3, 2024, the second phase was finalized with the issuance of an additional 45,278,600 Class A ordinary shares, securing the remaining data centers and deploying corresponding Bitcoin mining machines. As a result, the total power capacity of these data centers now amounts to 51 megawatts. CEO Xianfeng Yang noted that while the company continues advancing its cryptomining operations, it is also shifting focus towards exploring opportunities within the Solana ecosystem to align with emerging trends and drive long-term growth.
