Aureka Says Drilling Confirms Mineralization Down Plunge of Inferred Mineral Resource at Victoria Project, Shares Fall 5%

Aureka (ASX:AKA) said that results from an ongoing diamond drilling program at the Irvine gold project in Victoria confirmed mineralization around 250 meters down plunge of inferred mineral resource, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The drilling was completed by Australia Mineral and Waterwell Drilling. A parent hole and a wedge hole were completed for a total of 1,320 meters.

The results included an intercept of 1.18 meters at 4.05 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 703.65 meters.

It also said that diamond drilling was completed at the Tandarra gold project joint venture, also located in Victoria, during January and February. Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL) holds a 51% stake in the venture and acts as the operator.

Its shares fell 5% in recent trading on Friday.
