G2 Goldfields' large minority shareholder, AngloGold Ashanti, has sold off its stake and divested fully from the company.
AngloGold Ashanti, the South African gold mining giant, said Wednesday that it has sold off 35.9 million shares by way of a market sale, representing the entirety of its 14.95% stake in G2 Goldfields.
Shares in G2 have performed well in 2025, rising nearly 38% since the year began, closing on Tuesday at 2.67 Canadian dollars ($1.95). The stock is up 65% over the last 52 weeks.
