SS Innovations International (SSII) said Thursday its SSi Mantra 3 surgical robotic system was used in robotic telesurgery for weight loss.
Two procedures were remotely performed, with zero perceptible lag, by bariatric surgeon Mohit Bhandari from Gurugram, India, while the patient and support team were located about 560 miles away at a healthcare facility in Indore, SS Innovations said.
Shares of the company were up more than 6% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
