1540 ET - Amazon.com's competitive threat to Ulta appears to be stabilizing as the retailers sell fewer of the same products and maintain similar price points, D.A. Davidson analysts say in a note. The share of Ulta's best sellers available on Amazon is 79%, down from 94% in January, the analysts say. Pricing across beauty and wellness categories, meanwhile, has remained similar across both sites, the analysts say. Such data shows the competition between the two sites could normalize, even if Amazon continues to take share in the space in general, with beauty sales up 24% year-to-date as the industry's sales slide 0.5%, they say, citing Nielsen IQ data.
