Blackstone (BX) is exploring a potential joint bid for French telecom operator SFR in a deal valued at up to 30 billion euros ($35.09 billion), including debt, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Blackstone is in early talks with other potential bidders and plans to team up with another company, according to the report.

Blackstone may opt against the offer while other private equity firms are also exploring joint offers with French carriers, the sources reportedly said.

Blackstone and SFR did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
