ASML Outlook Clouded by Weaker Orders, China Risks -- Market Talk

1051 GMT - ASML Holding's short-term outlook remain uncertain, UBS analysts write in a note. Investor sentiment has improved recently, supported by growing optimism around AI and stronger data from smartphone and PC sales. But orders are expected to remain weak in the second quarter. The sustainability of demand from China also remains a concern, they say. The Swiss bank forecasts China revenue to decline 35% on year this quarter. Additionally, the Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker is unlikely to issue guidance for 2026 at this stage, they add. Shares are down 0.8% at 662.90 euros. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
