Wabtec Corporation has finalized the acquisition of Evident's Inspection Technologies division, previously part of Olympus Corporation's Scientific Solutions Division. This acquisition, valued at approximately $1.68 billion after tax benefits, enhances Wabtec's Digital Intelligence business by integrating industry-leading inspection technologies aimed at bolstering customer productivity, reliability, and safety. The transaction was financed through cash, newly issued term notes, term loans, and short-term borrowing. Wabtec expects this acquisition to contribute to shareholder value with a high single-digit revenue growth outlook and accretive financial metrics over time. The company plans to include the impact of this acquisition in its Full Year Financial Guidance during the upcoming Q2 Earnings call.
