Alibaba Group's (HKG:9988) cloud-computing unit Alibaba Cloud opened a new data center in Malaysia on Tuesday and plans to launch another in the Philippines in October, according to a company statement Wednesday.
The Malaysia center marks its third and comes as Alibaba Cloud seeks to meet the growing demand for AI and cloud services, the firm said.
Alibaba Cloud has opened new data centers in Thailand, Mexico, and South Korea in the first half of 2025.
