Special purpose acquisition company Chenghe Acquisition III filed for a $110 million initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.
The company said it intends to focus on an initial business combination among growing companies in Asian markets or global companies with a presence or focus in Asia.
The company said its co-sponsors are affiliated with Chenghe Group, an investment holding company and repeat SPAC sponsor. Chenghe Group has sponsored and led several U.S.-listed special purpose acquisition groups, including Chenghe Acquisition, Chenghe Acquisition I and Chenghe Acquisition II.
Chenghe Acquisition completed an initial business combination with Taiwan Color Optics in February 2024. Chenghe Acquisition I consummated an initial business combination agreement with Femco Steel Technology Co. in January, and Chenghe Acquisition II entered business combination agreement with Polibeli Group in September 2024, the company said.
Chenghe Acquisition III said it intends to apply for to list its units on Nasdaq under the symbol CHEC.U.
