Dow Jones
Jul 01
0812 GMT - Ofgem's draft determination should be seen as positive for U.K. energy network companies, J.P. Morgan analysts write. The key focus will be Ofgem's proposed allowed return on equity of 5.64%, they write. This compares with an Ofgem-compiled consensus median of 5.54%. This will be beneficial for National Grid and SSE, the analysts add. However, they expect companies to ask for improvements in other areas such as capitalization rates and regulatory asset lives. National Grid shares trade up 1.4% at 1,076.5 pence. SSE shares trade up 0.9% at 1,847.5 pence.(adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
