Infosys' Arm Commits INR480 Million for Better Healthcare Services in Karnatka, India

Infosys Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Infosys (NSE:INFY, BOM:500209), has partnered with UN-recognized organization Prashanthi Balamandira Trust, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Under the collaboration, the two parties will support the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital to provide free medical care to underprivileged women, infants, and children to enhance access to quality maternal and child healthcare in rural Karnataka.

The Infosys Foundation has committed 480 million Indian rupees towards the project.

Prashanthi Balamandira Trust provides education, healthcare, nutrition, and community service free of charge in Karnataka, India.

The company's shares were up nearly 1% in recent trade.
