Garrett Motion (GTX) said Thursday it has launched a new innovation center in Wuhan to expand research and development for zero-emission solutions.

The facility joins Garrett's Shanghai R&D site to form a dual-hub model advancing electric powertrain systems, fuel cell compressors, and e-cooling technologies, the company said.

The Wuhan site will focus on testing and validation of power electronics, including systems for both automotive and industrial decarbonization, Garrett said.

Garrett also said its 3-in-1 E-Powertrain, first shown at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, has already secured a production deal with HanDe for heavy-duty trucks.
