Hang Lung Properties Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone with the topping out of the Plaza 66 Pavilion Extension in Shanghai. Announced on June 26, 2025, this development will expand the complex's retail space by 13%, adding 3,080 square meters above ground. The Pavilion Extension, set for completion in mid-2026 and opening in the second half of the year, will seamlessly integrate with Plaza 66's existing luxury mall and office towers, which currently cover 213,255 square meters. The project aims to meet new consumption trends and enhance Shanghai's status as an international consumption city by offering novel retail, dining, wellness, and lifestyle experiences. Notably, the extension utilizes nearly 100% low carbon emissions steel, marking a 35% reduction in embodied carbon compared to conventional alternatives.
