Snowman Logistics (NSE:SNOWMAN, BOM:538635) has begun operations of its two new temperature-controlled warehouses at Kolkata and Krishnapatnam in India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian bourses.
The Kolkata facility has a capacity of 5,630 pallets, and the Krishnapatnam facility has a capacity of 3,927 pallets. With this, the company's total capacity has increased to 150,754 pallets across 43 warehouses in 20 cities in India.
The new warehouses will cater to industries, including seafood, ice cream, dairy products, ready-to-eat meals, quick service restaurant (QSR) items, confectionery, bakery products, fruits and vegetables, and pharmaceuticals.
The company also operates 296 owned and over 325 leased refrigerated vehicles across India.
Snowman's shares were up 3% in recent trade.
