Lake Victoria Gold Ltd. has launched a 7,750-meter multi-purpose drilling campaign at the Area C zone of its fully permitted Imwelo Gold Project in northwestern Tanzania. This initiative aims to support short-term production readiness, resource conversion, and optimize final pit design, with completion anticipated by Q3 2025. The Imwelo Project, located near AngloGold Ashanti's Geita Gold Mine, involves open-pit mining with potential for underground development. The project holds a Tanzanian mining license and features a historical resource estimate of 291,600 ounces of gold. The drilling program includes grade control and strike and depth extension drilling to refine the initial ore/waste interface and explore high-grade extensions, marking significant progress toward establishing Lake Victoria Gold as a key gold producer in Tanzania.
