Polaris Holdings (TYO:3010) said its domestic hotels posted a 24.3% year-on-year rise in RevPAR in May, driven by Golden Week travel and inbound arrivals, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Occupancy rose to 90.2% while average daily rates climbed 19.6% to 13,358 yen. Inbound guests accounted for 53.5% of stays, up 7.9 percentage points from a year earlier.
The Kinki region, boosted by demand tied to EXPO 2025 Osaka, saw a 49.4% jump in RevPAR. All regions posted gains amid a 21.5% rise in foreign visitor numbers to Japan.
