Icon Energy Corp. has announced the successful delivery of the M/V Charlie, a 2020-built, scrubber-fitted, eco Ultramax dry bulk carrier, expanding its fleet. The vessel, obtained through a bareboat charter from an unaffiliated third party, was delivered on June 21, 2025. Icon has time chartered the M/V Charlie to a reputable dry bulk operator for a period of 9 to 12 months. The charter agreement includes a floating daily hire rate linked to the Baltic Supramax Index, as well as a share of the fuel cost savings due to the vessel's scrubber. This addition is expected to contribute immediately to Icon's revenues, aligning with the company's strategy of disciplined fleet expansion.
