SpartanNash (SPTN) shares were up nearly 49% after the company said it has agreed to be acquired by C&S Wholesale Grocers for $26.90 per share for a total price of $1.77 billion.
Life Time Group Holdings (LTH) shares were more than 5% higher after the company said it entered into a lease agreement with Prop and Building at 10 Bryant, a 30-story office tower in Midtown Manhattan.
Hormel Foods (HRL) said it has named John Ghingo, executive vice-president for retail, as president and Jeffrey M. Ettinger, a board member, as interim chief executive, effective July 14. Shares of Hormel Foods were up 0.8% premarket.
