Energy stocks were mixed premarket Monday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) was up 0.3% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was edging up 0.1% while the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.6% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.3% at $73.63 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.3% to $76.80 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 0.5% lower at $3.827 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Tidewater (TDW) shares were up more than 1% after the company said it has launched a private offering of $650 million of unsecured senior notes due 2030.
