AI-driven insurtech Findevor adds Kopser as executive advisor

By Mia MacGregor

June 17 - (The Insurer) - Insurance portfolio management and underwriting platform Findevor has appointed former Axa XL executive Chris Kopser as executive advisor to accelerate the adoption of its AI-powered legal system abuse prevention platform.

Kopser joins Findevor after six years at Axa XL, most recently serving as president and chief underwriting officer of primary casualty for the Americas. Before that, he spent 15 years at AIG in various leadership positions.

In his new role, Kopser will advise Findevor on enhancing the efficacy and quality of its product and guide its expansion across commercial and personal property and casualty lines, as well as the E&S market.

Findevor’s platform analyzes external risk signals and cross-references them with internal portfolio trends to help insurers catch emerging litigation exposure before it impacts the book, according to the company.

"Legal system abuse is eroding profitability across the industry, and Findevor is helping carriers get ahead of it with AI that's both explainable and actionable,” said Kopser.

Findevor CEO Alex Valdes said that Kopser's "depth of insight and strategic leadership will be a major asset as we scale our platform across both commercial and personal lines, including E&S."

Other executive advisors to Findevor are former The Hanover executive Rob Brewer, Hiscox’s Christian Gengler, former Axa XL executive Rose Hall, AmTrust’s Vijay Laknidhi, former Riskonnect CEO Bob Morrell and USAA’s Lawrence Williams.
