Moolec Science has announced that it has received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its Piggy Sooy™ technology. This soybean plant innovation is designed to express high levels of porcine hemeproteins in seeds, offering significant potential for sustainable protein production. The U.S. patent covers the plants, seeds, development method, and food compositions derived from this technology. Piggy Sooy™ provides environmental benefits, using significantly less land, water, and CO2 emissions compared to traditional meat production. The patent is valid until 2042, strengthening Moolec's intellectual property portfolio in Molecular Farming.
