RTX Corporation, through its Raytheon business, has entered into a new partnership with the Norwegian government and Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace. This collaboration focuses on the development of the GhostEye radar, a cutting-edge mobile medium-range air and missile defense sensor for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS). The radar will be designed in the United States by Raytheon, with Kongsberg in Norway co-developing key radar subassemblies. This initiative marks the first project under the NASAMS collaborative arrangement, initially signed in October 2023. The partnership, renewed at the Paris Air Show, extends the companies' long-standing cooperation and aims to enhance Norway's and allied nations' defense capabilities against evolving aerial threats.
