European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Edge Higher Wednesday

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were edging up on Wednesday morning, up nearly 0.1% to 1,466.83 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by steel producer ArcelorMittal (MT) and bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), which rose 2.3% and 1.6% respectively.

They were followed by bank Banco Santander (SAN), up 1.2%.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by clinical-stage biotechnology firm Abivax (ABVX) and biotech company BioNTech (BNTX), which were shedding 2.2% and 0.1%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech companies Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and Centessa Pharmaceuticals (CNTA), which were rising about 4% and 3.3%, respectively.

They were followed by biotech Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), up 3%.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) and energy giant BP (BP), which lost 5.1% and 1.6%, respectively.
