Solarvest's (KLSE:SLVEST) joint venture Seri Suria Power (B) signed a 25-year power purchase deal with Brunei's Department of Electrical Services to develop a 30 megawatt alternating current solar photovoltaic power plant.
The solar power plant will be constructed on a remediated landfill in Kampong Belimbing. Under the deal, Seri Suria Power (B) will invest in, build, and operate the facility, with revenue to be generated from energy sales once operations begin.
The project is expected to contribute positively to the company's future earnings, it said.
