Alibaba's (HKG:9988) shares closed 2% higher on Friday following a report that users of its Taobao Hong Kong platform tripled during the 618 mid-year shopping festival from a year earlier.
User participation on Taobao's Hong Kong site reached an all-time high, The Standard reported Thursday.
More than 450 brands saw sales top 100 million yuan during the event, the report said.
