Alibaba Group-backed (BABA) MiniMax is set to launch AI tools that can perform tasks autonomously, potentially rivaling OpenAI and Manus, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a source with direct knowledge of the matter.
The products include a general AI agent that solves everyday tasks and an autonomous tool for video generation, the source told the news outlet.
The Shanghai-based AI firm, also backed by Tencent, plans to introduce the new products to the public this week, the source told Bloomberg.
MiniMax did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
