Iran has appointed new military leaders to replace those killed in Israeli attacks, placing Gen. Mohammad Pakpour in charge of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to state news agency IRNA.
Pakpour replaced Lt. Gen. Hossein Salami, while Maj. Gen. Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi was made chief of staff of the armed forces and Lt. Gen. Ali Shadmani was named to succeed Lt. Gen. Gholam Ali Rashid.
