GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) received a contract worth about AU$65 million from Atmos Renewables to perform the design and construction of the Merredin battery energy storage system and substation works in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The contract is subject to the issue by Atmos Renewables of a notice to proceed immediately upon the project achieving financial close in the coming weeks.
The company will undertake the detailed design, procurement, installation, and associated civil works for the project, which is to be delivered over 18 months commencing from receipt by the company of a notice to proceed, with the project expected to be completed in early 2027.
The company said it will engage with about 70 personnel to complete the project using significant local content from Western Australia.
The company's shares rose nearly 1% in recent Monday trade.
