1428 ET - Private equity is expected to be an active buyer this year, but where its money goes may be shifting, according to a survey by law firm Norton Rose Fulbright and predictive M&A intelligence company Mergermarket. U.S. PE firms are expected to deploy their cash mostly in South and Southeast Asia; international PE firms are expected to be most active in East Asia, Europe and Australia and New Zealand. But U.S. targets could be increasingly tempting for foreign buyers looking to avoid tariffs, according to the survey. (maria.armental@wsj.com; @mjarmental)
