Samsung SDI to Supply Battery Systems to Germany's Tesvolt

Samsung SDI (KRX:006400) signed an agreement to supply batteries for energy storage systems to German energy storage provider Tesvolt, Samsung said in a Wednesday press release.

Under the agreement, the South Korean firm will supply its SAMSUNG Battery Box (SBB) to Tesvolt. The latter will incorporate its power conversion and cybersecurity systems into the 20-foot SBB containers.

Under the deal, Samsung SDI will complete delivery of its current SBB 1.0 units by June-end, with the upgraded SBB 1.5 scheduled for supply from the second quarter of 2026, it said.

Shares of Samsung SDI rose nearly 1% in recent trade on Thursday.
