Mahindra Logistics (NSE:MAHLOG, BOM:540768) has launched a warehousing facility at Phaltan in Maharashtra, India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
In the first phase, over 300,000 square feet of the new warehouse is operational as a dedicated site for power solution company Cummins India.
This will help to boost Cummins' logistics capabilities and improve its supply chain efficiency, availability, and visibility through Mahindra's integrated warehousing and distribution network.
This facility is expected to generate over 500 local employment opportunities.
The company's shares were up over 1% in recent trade.
