Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX) has confirmed highly anomalous antimony soil assays at Oaky Creek, part of its Armidale Antimony-Gold Project in Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company discovered two new highly anomalous areas with assays up to 333 parts per million antimony in soil.

The company said the new Northern antimony area is potentially a strike extension of Oaky Creek North, and a newly defined antimony soil trend north of Oaky Creek South also confirms a previously undiscovered trend.

Rock chip assay results are expected to be received by the end of June, the filing added.

The company's shares fell 10% in recent Thursday trade.
