Pets at Home Launches $33.8 Million Buyback Program

Pets at Home said it would launch a 25 million-pound ($33.8 million share buyback program.

The U.K. pet-care company said the program would include two tranches, the first of which starts Monday and will end no later than Sept. 26.

The company said the first tranche, which will be undertaken by Numis Securities, would be for a maximum of 12.5 million pounds. All in all the company will buy back a maximum of 46.8 million shares, conditional on the renewal of shareholder authority.

As for the program's second tranche this is expected to be undertaken by Jefferies International, it said, adding that further details will be announced in due course.
