BUZZ-Lakeland Industries falls after surprise quarterly loss

** Industrial protective clothing maker Lakeland Industries' shares LAKE.O fall 13.7% to $16.72 after the bell

** LAKE posts Q1 2026 loss of 41 cents per share, compared with profit of 22 cents a year ago

** Analysts' estimated quarterly profit of 19 cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG

** "Q1 26 represented full impact of tariff uncertainty & associated mitigation strategies to build inventory" — LAKE

** Q1 revenue rose ~29% YoY to $46.8 million, compared with estimates of $48.9 million

** "Continued sales revenue growth of 29%, led by a 100% increase in Fire Services revenue and ongoing momentum from our recent acquisitions," said CEO Jim Jenkins

** LAKE maintains FY 2026 revenue forecast to range between $210 mln and $220 mln, compared with LSEG's estimate of $211.1 mln

** As of last close, stock had fallen 24.2% YTD
