Forward Air shares were trading 7% higher, at $19.95, after the company entered into an expanded collaboration with Freightos that will enable freight forwarders to instantly book less-than-truckload and linehaul trucking through the 7LFreight by WebCargo platform.
Freightos is a digital freight booking and payment platform, and Forward provides ground transportation services across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The companies will integrate Forward's extensive network into the Freightos platform. The next phase will add digital booking capabilities, and will soon include airport cartage services.
The service is initially available on 7LFreight, with plans to expand across the broader Freightos platform, including WebCargo.
