DTE Energy (DTE) said Wednesday it completed the construction of its 100-megawatt Polaris Solar Park in Washington and North Star Townships in Gratiot County, Michigan.

The park is expected to be operational this summer and generate sufficient energy to power 23,000 homes.

Polaris is DTE's third new solar park slated to connect to the grid in 2025, with five additional parks currently under construction and funded through its CleanVision MIGreenPower program.

DTE said the Polaris Solar Park will generate significant tax revenue for the local townships over the life of the project.
