GLP-1s Could Have Broader Social Impact on Dining Out -- Market Talk

1337 ET - People taking GLP-1s may stop frequenting certain restaurants as much, and the effects from those cutbacks could spread beyond people on the medication, Redburn Atlantic analysts Chris Luyckx and Edward Lewis say. Behavioral science shows that health-related habits often spread socially, Luyckx and Lewis say. That means if a friend or spouse is skipping restaurant trips or changing meal routines because of GLP-1 usage, you are more likely to do the same, they say. Restaurant visit and spending reductions are expected to compound through 2030, with declines most pronounced at Domino's, KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonald's. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
