MYR Group Inc., through its subsidiary MYR Energy Services (MYRE), has successfully completed an engineer-procure-construct $(EPC)$ project in Marysville, Ohio, aimed at integrating a new solar development into the existing power grid. The project involved upgrading a bay of the Marysville substation, erecting two new transmission monopoles, and stringing a 345kV wire from the substation to the interconnect point. Additionally, a 765kV double dead-end lattice tower was constructed to elevate existing transmission lines for the new 345kV line route. The L.E. Myers Co., another MYR Group subsidiary, assisted with transmission line construction, leveraging their extensive experience in the Midwest. Despite supply chain challenges and a late-stage scope addition for 765kV transmission work, the project was completed successfully, demonstrating effective collaboration and expertise within the MYR Group.
