Auto components manufacturer Minda Corporation (NSE:MINDACORP, BOM:538962) has entered into a joint venture agreement with Japan's Toyodenso to manufacture and sell advanced automotive switches for the automotive segment in India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
This joint venture will be operational through a proposed new joint venture entity, in which Mahindra will hold a 60% stake and Toyodenso will own the remaining 40%.
Toyodenso will provide the joint venture company with exclusive rights to certain proprietary technologies and technical know-how necessary for the manufacturing, development, and enhancement of the products.
Minda's shares were up nearly 1% in recent trade.
