Constellium (CSTM) and Tarmac Aerosave said Thursday that they have successfully recycled and remelted aluminum from end-of-life aircraft into new material fit for future aerospace applications after months of research and development.
The two companies said the next step is to scale up the process for industrial application and extend it to any aluminum alloy used in metallic aircraft.
