Super Micro Computer (SMCI) and Ericsson (ERIC) said Tuesday they plan to jointly develop commercial bundles that integrate 5G connectivity with Edge AI systems to speed up deployment.
The companies signed a memorandum of understanding to combine Ericsson's enterprise wireless tools with Super Micro's edge compute platforms for real-time, local AI processing, they said.
The collaboration targets sectors like retail, manufacturing and healthcare, where "AI applications require low-latency response times," the companies said.
