Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) said reverse circulation drilling at the Lakeview prospect at its Comet Vale gold project in Western Australia extended mineralization, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Significant intercepts from the drilling included 16 meters at 3.8 grams per tonne grade of gold from 216 meters, 16 meters at 3.5 g/t grade of gold from 280 meters, as well as six meters at 4.4 g/t grade of gold from 8 meters.

Drilling is ongoing at the prospect. Soil sampling results demonstrated multiple parallel mineralized structures at the prospect and provided immediate targets for exploration drilling. Metallurgical testwork is underway for Lakeview.

Mapping and rock chip sampling are planned to begin in the coming weeks to help target discovery drilling.

The firm's shares fell 4% in recent trading on Friday.
