European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were rising on Friday morning, up 0.51% to 1,479.70 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.
From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech companies Evaxion (EVAX) and Abivax (ABVX), which rose past 20.1% and 3.3%, respectively. They were followed by cybersecurity firm Wisekey (WKEY) and semiconductor company ASML (ASML), which added 2.8% and 1.4%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by clinical-stage biotech research firm Genenta Science (GNTA) and late-stage biopharmaceutical company Genfit (GNFT), which fell 7% and 6.5% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firms Compass Pathways (CMPS) and Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which rose 5.1% and 4.8% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Arm (ARM), which increased 3.8%.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Verona Pharma (VRNA), which retreated 3.1%.
