Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. has announced the formation of a new joint venture, solidified by a shareholders agreement signed on June 5, 2025. The joint venture, which aims to bolster advancements in intelligent mobility technology, will see Geely holding a 30% equity interest alongside partners Chongqing Maichi, QL Partnership, Lotus Robotics, and the Employee Incentive Platform. The partnership, which has an initial term of 20 years, will not classify the joint venture as a subsidiary of Geely. The shareholders agreement outlines the management structure and equity distribution, with the JV Framework Agreement having taken effect on April 9, 2025.
