JPMorgan Chase (JPM) could soon allow trading and wealth management clients to secure financing against cryptocurrency-linked assets as collateral, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources.
JPMorgan will offer financing against some cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds, starting with BlackRock's (BLK) iShares Bitcoin Trust, according to people familiar with the matter.
The bank might also consider the crypto holdings of wealth management clients to determine their net worth and borrowing limits, the sources told the news outlet.
JPMorgan didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
