D-BOX Technologies Chief Executive Sébastien Mailhot plans to leave the company later this month and will be succeeded on an interim basis by board member Naveen Prasad.

The Montreal-based company said Wednesday it had reached an agreement with Mailhot to step down effective at the close of business on June 10.

"This mutual decision allows for a smooth transition and positions the corporation to build on the financial progress achieved under Sébastien's leadership, as we look to further unlock D-BOX's potential," Board of Directors Chair Brigitte Bourque said.

The company said Prasad's appointment reinforces the board's commitment to focused execution. Prasad is co-founder of SoundIMAGE, an AI-powered localization company. He was president of VICE Media Canada and involved in building Elevation Pictures, an independent film distributor.

As part of its announcement of a leadership change, the company said that Lori Vaudry Tersigni had been appointed to the board as an independent director.

D-Box describes itself as a company focused on delivering immersive motion experiences for movie theaters, sim racing, gaming and simulation training.
